I’ve taken countless bump photos for clients. But when it came to my own journey, I hesitated—until I realized this stage of life deserved to be celebrated too.
Truthfully, I didn’t feel picture-perfect most days. Between the fatigue, the changes in my body, and the mental whirlwind of prepping for baby, the idea of stepping in front of the camera felt overwhelming. But then I remembered how often my clients tell me that they’re glad they captured this fleeting time. And I knew I would want to look back one day and feel what I felt in this moment.
I opted for a soft, white backdrop. Why? Because it keeps the focus where it belongs: on you and your growing baby. A timeless, clean aesthetic that won’t age with trends. The studio’s natural light made everything feel soft and airy—almost ethereal.
I chose a neutral-toned, flowy dress and kept accessories minimal. The simplicity created a calm, intimate atmosphere. There was something sacred about keeping it uncomplicated and letting the emotion take center stage.
Every smile exchanged, every tender moment, every candid laugh matters. From thoughtful detail shots to natural interactions, I focused on emotional storytelling.
These moments not only capture the beauty but also highlight the genuine connection and joy—everything a maternity session should celebrate.
Stepping in front of the camera reminded me of the vulnerability and strength my clients bring every day. I felt empowered, beautiful, and deeply present. It wasn’t about looking perfect. It was about honoring the transformation I was in.
